Updates to Version 2.0:
- 16/03/10 - April rate increase announced. With effect from 1st April, advertising rates will increase by £5 per month.
- 07/06/09 - Automatic telephone number validation introduced.
- 30/05/09 - Renewal chasing system upgraded.
- 25/05/09 - Back-end messaging system replaced to enhance application, update and customer support response times.
- 14/05/08 - Following a review of the website's performance at peak times, the web server was upgraded in order to support a greater number of concurrent users and to increase the speed of page delivery.
- 30/04/08 - New pages added for Escorts in Liverpool and Escorts in Leeds.

- 16/04/07 - Contact facility updated to block messages from countries which frequently send scam messages.
- 08/08/06 - The whole of Manchester Lads website has been moved to a new server. This change improves processing times, delivering content to you faster. It also allows us to beginning working with the new technologies that we wish to employ on the next version of the website.
- 12/06/06 - Contact facility server retrial initiated, improvement of reliability for AOL users.
- 29/03/06 - Translation facility added to profile pages to aid our growing number of international visitors to better understand profile information. This facility is being tested and may be withdrawn if found unsuccessful. (4384 international visits so far in 2006).
- 28/03/06 - Reorganisation of the website structure in order to improve usability of about us and links information, creating two distinct sections with independent navigation.
- 14/03/06 - The contact facility had intermittent problems over the weekend which were resolved today. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Manchester Lads Version 2.0 Launched 23/08/04:
- Website design targets all current web browsers.
- Website design backward compatible for older web browsers.
- Website compatible with screen and braille readers.
- Faster processing performance, downloading and page rendering.
- Expanded profile information and contact options.
- Escort My Profile section greatly improved for security, profile and photograph updates.
- Privacy policy rewritten and updated.
- Escort review facility added (instead of email).
- Escort message facility now compatible with AOL's implementation of the Sender Policy Framework.
- Escorts may now disable message facility if not required.
Updates to Version 1.0:
- 29/04/04 - Profiles amended to accept (up to) six photographs rather than three.
- 05/04/04 - Website became commercial, all escort listings are now paid for and up to date.
- 24/03/04 - Contact message facility upgraded. Messages are now sent in HTML format and users are able to request a copy of their message. (Copy facility disabled 01/10/04 due to misuse).
